NBA star joins Chelsea Women’s football club ownership group
Milwaukee Bucks basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo has joined the group of co-owners of the Chelsea Women’s football club.
The 31-year-old Greek athlete expressed his pride and honor at the opportunity, CE Report quotes MIA.
"The history of Chelsea speaks for itself, and I am excited to contribute to the future by supporting the continued growth and impact of women’s sports. It’s about ambition, legacy, and taking the game to the next level. Go Chelsea!" Antetokounmpo wrote on social media.
Giannis is an NBA champion and the 2021 NBA Finals MVP. He has played in seven All-Star games.
Chelsea currently sits third in the Women’s Super League with 27 points.
