Romania's CSO Voluntari dominates Bristol Flyers in ENBL clash
CSO Voluntari, the defending champion of Romania, defeated the English team Bristol Flyers 99–85 (31–27, 23–17, 23–16, 22–25) on Tuesday evening at home, in a game of the men’s European North Basketball League (ENBL).
This was the fifth victory for the Ilfov-based team, coming after their first defeat of the European season, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
The hosts dominated the game for most of the time, relaxing toward the end, which allowed the English side to cut the deficit.
Michael Anthony Caffey scored 23 points for CSO Voluntari, Solomon Devin Young stood out with 20 points and 10 rebounds, Sacar Kofi Assante Anim contributed 19 points, and Kodi Andrew Justice added 13 points.
For the visitors, Milos Dugalic recorded 20 points and 4 rebounds, William Yoakum had 15 points and 4 rebounds, Jonathan Brown finished with 15 points and 3 assists, while Zachary Anderson added 12 points and 3 rebounds.
As reported by CE Report, CSO Voluntari tops the standings with 11 points from six games, followed by Manchester Basketball, Donar Groningen, BK Opava, Sigal Prishtina (all with 10 points from six games), and BC Slovan Bratislava (10 points from seven games).
CSO Voluntari will play its next match on January 14 in Tallinn against the Estonian team TalTech/Alexela.
