LeBron James ends historic scoring run
Since January 2007, LeBron James had scored double-digit points in every NBA game.
After 1,297 games, this incredible streak came to an end— the superstar recorded a game-winning assist in the final seconds to secure the LA Lakers’ 123-120 victory over the Toronto Raptors, CE Report quotes STA.
The LA Lakers were playing in Canada without Slovenian star Luka Dončić, who is currently in Ljubljana with the club’s permission for personal reasons, and they notched their 16th win of the season.
James also missed his final chance to extend the streak with a game-winning assist to Rui Hachimura; at the buzzer, Hachimura hit a three-pointer to seal the victory for the visitors.
When reporters asked him after the game if he regretted the end of such an extraordinary streak, the 40-year-old star firmly replied that he did not regret it at all.
