Big wins for Germany, Czechia, Croatia in European qualifiers
The excitement of Week 10 in the European qualifiers continued with six matches played in Groups A, G, and L.
In Group A, Germany defeated Slovakia 6–0 at home, finishing the group in first place with 15 points, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.
In the match held at Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Leroy Sané—who plays for Galatasaray—scored 2 goals, while Nick Woltemade, Serge Gnabry, Ridle Baku and Assan Ouedraogo each added one.
In Group G, leaders the Netherlands beat Lithuania 4–0, reaching 20 points.
With these results, the teams finishing first in their groups—Croatia, England, France, Portugal, Norway, the Netherlands, and Germany—qualified for the World Cup.
The teams finishing second—Albania, Ukraine, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Slovakia, Czechia, and Poland—will play in the playoffs.
