Romania's CSO Voluntari stay top of European Basketball League

Defending champions CSO Voluntari defeated Dutch side Donar Groningen 97–91 (33–23, 17–21, 20–23, 27–24) on Tuesday evening at home in a Northern European Basketball League (ENBL) matchup.

The Ilfov-based team secured their fourth consecutive win in this season’s competition, maintaining their position at the top of the standings, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

Voluntari started strong and finished even stronger, holding off a late comeback from the visitors. Michael Anthony Caffey led the hosts with 30 points and 7 assists, while Kodi Andrew Justice added 17 points and 3 rebounds, Solomon Devin Young contributed 15 points and 5 rebounds, and Giordan Lee Watson scored 10 points.

For Donar Groningen, Malik Miller had 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, followed by Austin Luke with 15 points and 7 assists, and Dane Erikstrup with 15 points and 3 rebounds.

CSO Voluntari now lead the ENBL table with 8 points from four games, ahead of Sigal Prishtina (7 points) and Donar Groningen (6 points).

The Romanian side will play their next ENBL game away against Latvia’s Valmiera Glass Via on December 3.
