Fiorentina have dismissed head coach Stefano Pioli following a 3–1 defeat to Lecce that left the club bottom of the Serie A table without a win.

The team has collected just four points, scoring seven goals and conceding 16 so far this season, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

“ACF Fiorentina can confirm that Stefano Pioli has been relieved of his duties as first-team coach,” the club said in an official statement. “The club would like to thank him and his staff for their professionalism during their time with Fiorentina.”

Daniele Galloppa, the club’s youth coach, has been appointed interim manager and will lead training starting this afternoon, while the search for a permanent replacement begins immediately.

Pioli, who won the Serie A title with AC Milan in the 2021/22 season, has seen a sharp decline in form and results in recent years. In 2024, he briefly managed Saudi club Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays, but achieved limited success before returning to Italy.
