AC Milan set to sign Liverpool star defender
AC Milan will acquire Joe Gomez’s rights from Liverpool in January.
The 28-year-old English international defender is not part of Arne Slot’s main plans, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
According to the Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, he has received offers from Crystal Palace, Leeds, and West Ham. However, Gomez prefers to continue his career in Serie A with the Rossoneri, with whom he has reached a verbal agreement for a three-year contract.
Gomez is under contract with the English champions until the summer of 2027, but Milan could sign him for €12 million. Last season, he made only 17 appearances in all competitions, mostly coming off the bench.
