Beşiktaş Makes Informal Approach for Xhaka, Say Reports

Sports

Swiss international midfielder of Albanian origin, Granit Xhaka, has once again become the subject of discussion in the transfer market, with AC Milan and Galatasaray having shown concrete interest in him, while Beşiktaş have reportedly entered the scene with first informal contacts.

According to “La Gazzetta dello Sport” and “MilanReports”, Milan’s management, in particular Igli Tare and coach Massimiliano Allegri, see Xhaka as an ideal reinforcement for the midfield, due to his tactical profile and international experience. The red and black club is ready to offer 15-20 million euros for his card, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

On the other hand, reports from Sky Germany emphasize that Xhaka is not seeking a move away from Bayer Leverkusen, and his relationship with the club remains very good. A transfer could only happen if an "absolutely high" offer comes in, which means Leverkusen are not interested in selling the midfielder for a normal price.

In an interview with "Get German Football News", Xhaka stated:

"I'm here right now... we're happy and that's what matters. But in football nothing is guaranteed. Today I'm here, what happens tomorrow I can't say for sure."

Meanwhile, Turkish portal "TransferFeed" reports that Xhaka's representatives have offered his services to Beşiktaş, as part of a preliminary survey for a possible transfer during the summer.

For now, Xhaka remains a key part of Bundesliga champions and German Cup winners Bayer Leverkusen, but his future is expected to be one of the hottest topics of the 2025 summer transfer window.
