Luka Modric is ready to sign a €3 million contract with Milan until 2026, with an option for an additional season, according to Football Italia sources.

Croatian star Modric is on the verge of joining Milan as a free agent after his contract with Real Madrid expired, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The Rossoneri have reached a full agreement with the 39-year-old, who will sign a contract until 2026, with an option for an additional season. The 2018 Ballon d'Or winner is expected to sign the deal with the Rossoneri in the coming hours.

Modric made history with Real Madrid, where he spent 13 years, scoring 43 goals in 591 appearances for the Merengues.

During his time at the club, he won – among other trophies – six Champions League titles and four La Liga titles.

Meanwhile, Milan have also reached an agreement to sell star midfielder Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City for €75 million.
