Plovdiv's Detska Kitka Children Choir to Sing in Japan

The Plovdiv-based children's choir Detska Kitka will be touring Japan from March 19 to March 30, the choir said on Wednesday. The 37-member choir will present Bulgaria and its singing traditions outside the borders of the European continent for the first time in the 77-year history of the formation. CE Report quotes BTA

A total of eight concerts and performances are planned, starting in Yonago City with an official welcome from the city's mayor and a charity concert at St Nicholas Church, in support of those affected by the Ishikawa earthquake in January 2024. The Bulgarian choir will also participate in the Yonago International Festival together with the host choir, Little Phoenix.
