"We launched a dialogue on space cooperation to combine our expertise. In the field of defense, we have continued to work side by side on the Global Combat Air Programme together with the United Kingdom for the sixth-generation fighter aircraft. We have finally entered the operational phase," Meloni said during joint statements with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
