Essex Police open investigation into Prince Andrew over Epstein-linked flights.

The Essex Police have launched an investigation into Prince Andrew, the brother of King Charles III, whose titles were stripped due to connections with Jeffrey Epstein. The investigation will examine claims that women, arranged to meet Andrew, were transported on Epstein’s private jet that landed at Stansted Airport, within Essex Police’s jurisdiction, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

The statement noted that allegations against Andrew will also be considered. It mentioned that around 90 flights landed at Stansted linked to Epstein, 15 of them after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for child prostitution.

Flight records and emails related to these flights are under review. Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown had previously stated that at least one woman transported on these planes went to Buckingham Palace.

Essex Police is now the third police force, after Thames Valley Police and Surrey Police, to open an inquiry into Andrew over alleged links to the U.S. billionaire Epstein, who died in prison while facing charges of running a sex trafficking network targeting minors.

All titles stripped

Andrew’s close ties to Epstein appeared in documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre alleged she was forced into a sexual relationship with then-Prince Andrew when she was 17.

Andrew denied the allegations and gave up all his titles, including Duke of York, to protect the Royal Family. Recently, King Charles also removed the title of “Prince” amid renewed pressure and new documents.

Andrew had been living in the Royal Lodge since 2003 with a nominal annual rent and a 75-year lease bought for £1 million. His tenancy sparked public debate over royal finances and taxpayer-funded expenses, which was also raised in Parliament.

Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey asked whether a commission should review Royal properties, including statements from all involved, to protect taxpayers’ interests. Prime Minister Keir Starmer replied that proper scrutiny of Royal properties is important and fully supported such an inquiry.

Following the pressure, Andrew moved out of Windsor Castle to a farmhouse on the Sandringham estate, owned by King Charles personally.

Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, was also revealed to have had friendships with Epstein. Many charities associated with her ended ties with Ferguson. Her Sarah Ferguson Foundation, which reportedly took her own daughters to Epstein’s island, has been shut down.
