President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian negotiating team is preparing for the next round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia this week.

The head of state announced this on Facebook after a report from the Ukrainian delegation that participated in the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“Report of our delegation after negotiations in the Emirates with the American and Russian sides. This was the first trilateral dialogue format in a long time aimed at ending the war. At the meetings, a range of important issues were discussed, primarily military ones, which are necessary to end the war. We also talked about complex political issues that remain unresolved,” Zelensky said.

He noted that the key positions of the parties were analyzed at the meeting with the Ukrainian delegation.

“We have defined the framework for further diplomatic work. We are preparing for new trilateral meetings this week,” the head of state summed up.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during the trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on January 23-24, the parameters for ending the war were discussed. The military also identified a list of issues for further meetings.

The next round of trilateral talks involving the US, Ukraine, and Russia is scheduled for February 1. The meeting is also to be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
