Trump calls Epstein issue democratic distraction
“The Republicans should vote for the release of the Epstein documents, because we have nothing to hide and it’s time to move past this Democrat hoax carried out only to distract from Republican successes.”
This is what Donald Trump said ahead of Tuesday’s vote in the U.S. House, CE Report quotes ANSA.
“No one cared about Epstein when he was alive, and if the Democrats had anything, they would have made it public before our electoral victory,” he added, specifying that “the only thing I care about is getting back to focusing on the economy and affordability, an issue on which we are winning.”
“The Department of Justice has already released tens of thousands of pages on Epstein and is looking at various Democrats (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers) and their ties to Epstein. The House Oversight Committee can have whatever it is legally entitled to—I don’t care. What I care about is Republicans returning their focus to the economy,” Trump said, reiterating the major successes achieved by his administration on “inflation, tax cuts, securing the border, and deporting illegal criminals.”
“Let’s talk about the goals achieved by Republicans and let’s not fall into the Epstein trap, which is a curse for the Democrats, not for us,” highlighted the U.S. president.
