Hunter Biden Claimed Epstein Introduced Melania to Trump
Former First Lady Melania Trump has threatened to sue Hunter Biden for $1 billion after he claimed that she was introduced to Donald Trump by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Her lawyers called the allegation “false, defamatory, diminishing, and provocative.”
Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, made the remarks during an interview this month, criticizing Trump’s past ties with Epstein. However, Trump has previously stated that he fell out with Epstein in the early 2000s over staff recruitment at his Florida golf club spa, according to the BBC.
The legal letter demands that Biden retract his claim and issue an apology, or face legal action. It says Melania Trump has suffered financial and reputational damage, accusing Biden of “exploiting others’ names” for attention.
Biden had alleged that unpublished Epstein documents would implicate Trump, saying: “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump – the ties run wide and deep.”
The claim was partially based on reporting from journalist Michael Wolff. However, The Daily Beast later retracted its article following legal challenges. There is no evidence that Epstein introduced them, according to KosovaPress.
Melania’s lawyer, Alejandro Brito, said legal steps are underway to secure retractions and apologies for the widespread defamation. Previous records show that Melania met Trump in November 1998 at a party — not through Epstein.
The legal letter comes amid renewed pressure for the release of the “Epstein files,” many of which remain unpublished.
The FBI and the Department of Justice have stated that there is no incriminating list of Epstein collaborators.
