Trump Abolishes Biden’s Digital Equity Act

Donald Trump has announced that he has abolished the Digital Equity Act, the law introduced by Joe Biden to provide digital services to low-income communities, CE Report quotes ANSA.

In a post on Truth Social, the president stated that he spoke with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and agreed to eliminate the measure approved by Congress in 2021 "to save billions of dollars."

"The Digital Equity Program is a racist and illegal $2.5 billion giveaway," he said. "I will put an immediate end to all of it and save taxpayers billions of dollars!"
