I begin my assignment as Ambassador of Italy to North Macedonia, a friendly and allied country and a fundamental crossroads of the Balkan Peninsula.

My commitment will be aimed at strengthening, in all fields, the excellent bilateral relations and supporting Skopje's accession to the EU, its reunification in the common European house'.

This was stated by the new Italian ambassador in Skopje Paolo Palminteri, in a post on the embassy's Facebook profile, CE Report quotes ANSA.
