
President Klaus Iohannis Attends Key EU Meetings in Brussels
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis is in Brussels this Wednesday and Thursday to participate in the EU-Western Balkans Summit and the European Council meeting, CE Report quotes Agerpres
At Wednesday's summit, discussions will focus on the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and efforts toward regional integration, emphasizing EU enlargement as a key geopolitical strategy. President Iohannis will reaffirm Romania's support for the region's European aspirations, underscoring the importance of adhering to European values amid Russia's war in Ukraine. He is also scheduled to meet with European Council President António Costa.
On Thursday, Iohannis will join the European Council to address topics including Ukraine, migration, the Middle East, EU crisis response, global influence, and the Union's enlargement to include Moldova and Georgia, alongside issues of security and justice.
