New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in an interview with ANT1 TV on Thursday, claimed that "we in New Democracy are the only ones talking about the country's future." Cereport reports citing Athens-Macedonian
"When you set the bar high you must jump even higher," he noted, referring again to the stakes in the elections. "For me the bar is a comfortable parliamentary majority. I constantly repeat to the people that, as a prerequisite for making the major changes that the country needs, I must have a parliamentary majority. Nobody would want an unstable majority of one or two deputies," he added.
Asked about high prices, Mitsotakis insisted the answer lies in more market inspections and support for the most vulnerable, but also an increase of disposable income.
He revealed that his government's first bill, if ND wins the elections, will be to update the executive state and the second will concern priorities in tax policy.
