Bad Bunny concert abandoned after violent storm batters Milan

A powerful hailstorm struck Milan, causing significant damage across the northern Italian city and forcing organizers to halt a Bad Bunny concert attended by around 80,000 people.

Several concertgoers were injured by large hailstones, according to international news agencies, CE Report quotes STA.

The storm swept across Italy's Lombardy region with strong winds, heavy rain and intense hail. Large hailstones battered Milan, prompting organizers to end the Puerto Rican star's performance early and evacuate thousands of people from the Snai La Maura racecourse.

According to Italian media reports citing police, several spectators suffered head injuries after being struck by hailstones and were treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene.

Organizers initially urged the audience over the loudspeakers to remain in place, hoping the storm cell would quickly pass. However, as weather conditions continued to deteriorate, they ordered a full evacuation and directed concertgoers to emergency exits. The Uruguay metro station was also temporarily closed to help emergency services manage the crowds and ensure public safety.

The performance, attended by approximately 80,000 fans, was Bad Bunny's second concert in Milan as part of his Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour. Milan is the singer's only Italian stop on the tour.

The concert will not be rescheduled.

"After careful consideration and every effort to postpone the event, we regret to inform ticket holders that the concert has been canceled and will not be rescheduled," organizers Live Nation said in a statement.

The company added that all ticket holders will receive full refunds.

The severe weather also caused disruption elsewhere in Italy. In the province of Ferrara, hailstones measuring around nine centimeters in diameter were reported.
