Around 30,000 seats will be available for each of the ten concerts that Celine Dion will perform in Paris at Paris La Defense Arena, which is preparing to host the global star after several postponements, the CEO of Europe’s largest indoor arena told AFP on Tuesday, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

“Paris has always been very important to her, and the city offers the perfect setting to mark the beginning of this new chapter in her career. She is returning to her roots,” said Frederic Longuepee, CEO of the arena.

The Quebec-born singer had originally planned to perform at this venue during her “Courage World Tour,” but the pandemic, followed by ongoing health issues, forced her to postpone and eventually cancel the tour.

Located in Nanterre near Paris, the arena has a maximum capacity of around 45,000 seats — a capacity tested in 2024 during concerts by Taylor Swift.

However, for Celine Dion’s concerts, the configuration will be different, with seated sections reducing capacity to about 30,000 per night.

When asked about adding extra dates beyond those scheduled between September and October, Longuepee said it would be “complicated” due to existing commitments.

Opened in 2017 with a concert by The Rolling Stones, the venue has become a major player in global events. Bad Bunny is set to perform there in July, followed by the Rolex Paris Masters in the autumn.

The arena, owned by the holding company of Jacky Lorenzetti’s family, is also currently subject to a potential takeover by Live Nation, which is still awaiting approval from the French Competition Authority.
