North Macedonia blocks illegal online gambling sites

Minister of Digital Transformation of North Macedonia Stefan Andonovski signed an order restricting access to websites and web applications offering illegal gambling through public electronic communication networks.

“The latest order includes 33 additional illegal websites, bringing the total number of blocked sites to 307,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation said in a press release.

As reported by the Ministry, the order has been sent to the Agency for Electronic Communications, which is required to forward it to electronic communication network operators for implementation within five days, CE Report quotes MIA.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation said it will continue implementing measures to combat illegal online gambling, aiming to protect citizens and enhance digital safety.
