Silver breaks historic mark
Silver has surpassed 60 dollars per ounce for the first time.
The spot price of the metal reached a high of 60.57 dollars, driven by supply shortages and increased investor demand, CE Report quotes ANSA.
Also contributing to the rising prices are expectations of new rate cuts by the Fed: a low-interest-rate environment favors precious metals like gold and silver, which do not offer any yield.
