Türkiye Hits Record $25B in Monthly Exports

Türkiye set a new export record in July with $25 billion in goods shipped abroad, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced Saturday. This marks both the highest July figure and the largest 12-month cumulative export volume in the country’s history, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Bolat called it a “legendary month,” noting a $2.5 billion (11%) year-on-year increase from July 2024 and a $4.5 billion rise from June. Imports rose modestly by 5.4% to $31.4 billion, while the trade deficit narrowed to $6.4 billion — the lowest in nine months.

He also highlighted a boost in export-to-import coverage and progress in services exports, which reached $115 billion in 2024 with a target of $121 billion for 2025.

Despite global trade disruptions and regional instability, Bolat stressed Türkiye’s continued economic rise and growing trade ties, including talks with the EU to modernize the Customs Union and improve visa access for Turkish travelers.
