Bulgaria PM Seeks Clarity on Inflation Figures

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has asked Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova to clarify recent inflation data at the start of Wednesday’s Council of Ministers meeting. Petkova is expected to hold a briefing later in the day to address what Zhelyazkov described as “misunderstandings in the media” regarding figures from the National Statistical Institute, CE Report quotes BTA

She will also provide details on the EUR 3.2 billion in bonds issued on international markets. According to the Institute, Bulgaria’s monthly inflation for June 2025 was 0.4%, with annual inflation at 4.4%.
