Georg Georgiev to Attend Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels

Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, will attend the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CE Report quotes BTA

During the meeting, EU foreign ministers will discuss critical topics including Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Middle East situation, Iran, and EU-US relations.

Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will propose a plan for military aid to Ukraine amounting to up to EUR 40 billion. Diplomatic sources reported that the proposal, which follows an initial version without specific figures, aims to mobilize EUR 20 billion to EUR 40 billion to provide Ukraine with artillery ammunition, air defense systems, and drones, including a target of two million shells by 2025.
