Travelers can fly directly from Ohrid’s St. Paul the Apostle Airport to Bratislava, with a new flight to Milan launching March 29, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of North Macedonia Aleksandar Nikoloski.

In a Facebook post, Nikoloski said the new flights were expected to bring in new tourists to Ohrid and provide opportunities for economic growth, CE Report quotes MIA.

"The development of air traffic is a top priority for the government," Nikoloski said, noting that specific policies have led to a significant expansion of the country's destination network.

"We remain committed to advancing air traffic in order to develop and connect Macedonia with the major hubs," he added.
