Greece's Education Minister inaugurates new Innovation Center

Education Minister of Greece Sofia Zacharaki visited Ypati for the inauguration of the Innovation Center, one of 13 centers that will operate across the country.

The Minister was briefed on the important issue of re-establishing the University of Central Greece, a long-standing request of the region’s citizens, as it is the only region in the country without a higher education institution, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

Public support for the re-establishment has come from the Metropolitan of Phthiotis, Simeon; the Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos; the Mayor of Lamia, Panourias Papaioannou; other mayors of Phthiotis; members of parliament; and representatives of local organizations.
