Messi sends emotional farewell message to Argentina fans

Lionel Messi has shared an emotional message with Argentina fans ahead of what is expected to be his final match for the national team.

In a message published in collaboration with Adidas, Messi said the time had come for him to step away with peace of mind, knowing that he had given everything for his country’s shirt, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

“This shirt was my dream, my pride and my life for many years. Thank you for loving me so much and thank you for your support. I will always carry you with me,” the Argentina captain said.

The match was expected to mark Messi’s “last dance” with Argentina, bringing an extraordinary international era to a close after he helped the national team win the 2022 FIFA World Cup and two Copa América titles.
