Croatian swimming star wins silver at European Short Course Championships
The Croatian swimmer, 21-year-old Jere Hribar, won the silver medal in the 100-metre freestyle at the European Short Course Championships in Lublin, swimming a new Croatian record of 45.64 seconds in the final.
In the final race, Hribar was 12 hundredths faster than his own semi-final time from Friday and secured Croatia’s second medal in Lublin, CE Report quotes HINA.
On Tuesday, he was also a member of the bronze-winning 4x50m freestyle relay team.
The only swimmer faster than Hribar in the final was 26-year-old French Maxime Grousset with 45.17, while the bronze was won by Britain’s Matthew Richards with 45.82.
