Young Bulgarian motorsport star Nikola Tsolov will compete in FIA Formula 2 from the 2026 season, says the website of his current team, Campos Racing, CE Report quotes BTA.
After securing second place in this year's Formula 3, the promising Red Bull Junior Team member will continue his partnership with Campos Racing and move to the Formula 2 lineup next season.
Known as the "Bulgarian Lion," Tsolov will continue to represent the Red Bull Junior Team with a Formula 2 car from Campos Racing, the team said.
"I am extremely happy to take the next step in my career and upgrade to FIA Formula 2 with Campos Racing. We worked very hard together and achieved success in both Formula 4 Spain and FIA Formula 3, which gives me great confidence for the next season. This is another step closer to my dream and I will work harder than ever to achieve strong results," Tsolov said on the team's official website.
Born in Sofia on December 21, 2006, Tsolov built up an impressive record in both national and international karting before moving on to single-seaters with Campos Racing in 2022. He became the overall champion in F4 Spain that season, winning the title with thirteen victories and five more podium finishes in just 21 starts.
