Ludogorets Advance After Extra-Time Win Over Rijeka

Bulgarian champions Ludogorets reached the Champions League third qualifying round with a 3-1 extra-time victory over Croatian side Rijeka. After a goalless first leg and a 1-1 draw in regular time on Wednesday, Ludogorets capitalized on Rijeka going down to nine men, with red cards shown to Gabriel Rukavina and Toni Fruk, CE Report quotes BTA

Ludogorets will next face Hungary’s Ferencvaros, while Rijeka drop into the Europa League and will meet Shelbourne. The win guarantees Ludogorets at least a place in the Conference League group stage.
