EURO 2024: Edward Iordanescu: A challenge awaits us at higher level, Belgium is colossal opponent

The head coach of the Romanian national football team, Edward Iordanescu, stated on Friday, in a press conference held in Germany, that national team faces a challenge at a higher level, as it is to play versus Belgium in the second match at EURO 2024, "a colossal opponent", in his opinion, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"Belgium is the 3rd place in the world rankings, has very valuable players and comes with a very big need for points. It represents a very big challenge for us, but I am sure that we are ready to give our best. Otherwise, the opponent is colossal, that's the reality. It has a lot of value, in the first match it had 4-5 huge opportunities (...) and we are aware of that, we are ready for anything. If in the end a draw would be enough for us to qualify, then the point is welcome (...) but our thinking has always been to get the most out of every game, and that's how we'll play tomorrow too," he explained.
