Judokas Oleg Cretul and Ion Basoc were recognized as the top athletes for securing qualification to the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Their remarkable year included winning gold at the European Championships, bronze at the World Championships, and clinching gold at the prestigious IBSA Grand Prix in Tokyo.

Slovenian Skiers Shine in FIS World Cup: Slovenian ski jumpers showcased their talent at the FIS World Cup, with Timi Zajc finishing third in the ski flying competition in Vikersund. This success followed Domen Prevc's third-place finish earlier in the men's competition. However, the spotlight was on Prevc's younger sister Nika, who claimed the World Cup title, marking a triumphant day for Slovenian skiing.
