Trump Claims Credit for Ending Israel-Iran War

Politics

Former U.S. President Donald Trump declared on Tuesday that both Israel and Iran sought to end their recent conflict, crediting himself for halting the war after allegedly destroying Iran’s nuclear capabilities, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

“Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally! It was my great honor to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

The fighting began on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites, accusing Tehran of nearing nuclear weapon development—a claim Iran strongly denied. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks, and the U.S. joined the fray by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday.

After 12 days of hostilities, Trump announced a ceasefire between the two nations on Monday night.
