President Maia Sandu met with EU Ambassador to Moldova Jānis Mažeiks to discuss preparations for the first-ever Moldova-EU summit, set for July 4 in Chisinau. The summit marks a significant step in Moldova’s path toward European integration and is expected to become a regular platform for dialogue, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Talks also covered the ongoing EU accession process, with Moldovan authorities continuing to align national laws with EU standards.

Justice reform remained a key focus, with President Sandu reaffirming her commitment to building a fair and effective judiciary.

With parliamentary elections scheduled for next autumn, the leaders highlighted the threat of foreign interference and stressed the need for free and democratic elections.
