
New Prosecutor General Appointed in Moldova
Alexandru Machidon, the deputy chief prosecutor of the Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS), has been appointed acting Prosecutor General. President Maia Sandu signed the decree following the Superior Council of Prosecutors’ proposal. Machidon replaces Ion Munteanu, who became a judge at the Supreme Court of Justice.
