Greek PM Mitsotakis Reopens Olympic Village Swimming Pool

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlighted the symbolic importance of reopening the Olympic Village swimming pool on Wednesday, emphasizing its role in revitalizing the community after years of neglect following the 2004 Athens Olympics, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

"Today marks a joyful moment, as we return this fully renovated Olympic swimming pool to the local community, offering young children the opportunity to embrace sports and swimming," Mitsotakis stated.

He acknowledged Greece’s struggle with maintaining sports infrastructure, stressing his government's commitment to restoring key Olympic facilities and improving sports centers nationwide. "Every government is judged not by its intentions, but by its results," he concluded.
