The Chinese online marketplace Temu has signed a cooperation agreement with the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) and its IT and telecommunications branch to support Slovenian small and medium-sized enterprises in digitalisation and international expansion.

Temu, which has also joined the GZS as a member, sees the partnership as part of the chamber's broader efforts for the development of digital economy in Slovenia, CE Report quotes The Slovenia Times.

The chamber cooperates with a number of stakeholders from a variety of industries" in these efforts, Temu said in a press release on 29 September, adding that it would "contribute its global platform, resources and expertise" as a new GZS member.

The partnership will see Temu provide practical support to the Slovenian business community and tailored activities. Cooperation will start with a webinar on ways to use online retail to create new growth opportunities.

"Complexity, cost and integration are three challenges highlighted repeatedly by SMEs," Temu said, adding that its new partnership would directly address these issues.

Earlier this year Temu had signed cooperation agreements with the postal operator Pošta Slovenije, Start:up Slovenia, the national platform of the startup ecosystem, and Interzero Slovenija, a company specialising in package and waste management.
