Serbia launches public debate on draft VAT law linked to EU accession
The Ministry of Finance of Serbia is conducting a public debate on the Draft Law on Value Added Tax, which is set to take effect from the date of the Republic of Serbia’s accession to the European Union.
The public consultation on the draft law will run from June 1 to June 21, 2026, CE Report informs via the Ministry of Finance of Serbia's official website.
Comments, proposals, and suggestions should be submitted to the Ministry of Finance electronically via the “e-Consultations” portal (https://ekonsultacije.gov.rs/), by email at [email protected] with the subject line: “For the public consultation on the Draft Law on Value Added Tax with application starting from the date of the Republic of Serbia’s accession to the European Union,” or in writing to the Ministry of Finance at 20 Knez Miloš Street, 11000 Belgrade, with the same designation.
The presentation and public discussion on the draft law will be held during the consultation period, with the public to be informed in due course through a notice published on the Ministry of Finance website (www.mfin.gov.rs) and on the “e-Consultations” portal.
