Amazon reaches agreement with Italian tax authorities

Business

Amazon has reached an agreement with the Italian tax authorities today to pay 511 million euros, to which another 212 million — paid in recent days by Amazon Logistics and Amazon Italy Transport — are added.

The U.S. giant will therefore pay a total amount of 723 million euros to the Italian Revenue Agency, according to what ANSA has learned, also benefiting from installment payment mechanisms, CE Report quotes ANSA.

The settlements result from investigations coordinated by the Milan prosecutor’s office and carried out respectively by the Financial Police (Gdf) and the Revenue Agency.
