AFU mop up Russian bridgehead on western bank of Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, posted this on Telegram.

The commander also published a GoPro video of fighters of the 1st company of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade which defeated the 3rd battalion of the 57th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation.

"Excellent job and successful evacuation of a wounded," Syrskyi noted.

"Our soldiers managed to mop up an enemy bridgehead on the western bank of the Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal," the commander emphasized.

As reported, according to Syrskyi, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to push back Russian invaders from positions on the flanks of Bakhmut and regain control of territories.
